By my count we have about 42 instructional days remaining, which means we have about 21 instructional days until it's test season. Providing you with this time update is not meant to scare you, just to remind you how much time we have remaining regarding many of our instructional goals. As we close out the 2nd week of the spring semester I want to share some highlights from this week. Our boys basketball team opened up their season this week with two great games against Garcia. Our girls soccer team begins their season tomorrow against Burnet.

We have a very busy two weeks before winter break. This week we will be giving our Math and Reading Map Growth tests. Please help encourage students to do their best on these exams so we can get an accurate picture of their growth. We will be providing incentives to all students who show growth.

As we close out the 13th week of school we have some exciting news to share regarding our students and staff. We hosted our Advanced Academic Family Night this week and our Elementary Showcase to all of our feeder elementary schools.

As we close out the 12th week of school we have some exciting news to share regarding our students. Our boys soccer A team won Saturday against Mendez and are 2-0. Our choir students competed in All City Choir and one student, Liz Mendez, was chosen for small group choir.
