Hello Bobcats! This is going to be an amazing year at Bedichek as we continue to raise the bar of academic achievement, raise the roof in extra curricular activities, and come together as a community of learners, educators and staff to celebrate our diversity and uniqueness and support each other in an all-inclusive and welcoming manner. Together we will develop meaningful relationships with our community members, families, students and faculty.

¡Hola linces!

 Go Bobcats!

Marcia Schuh - Assistant Principal - marcia.schuh@austinisd.org

Schuh

I was born and raised in Laredo, Texas, and attended the University of Texas at Austin. I have been in education for over 30 years having taught middle school mathematics for 19 years and high school mathematics for 12 years. As a former military spouse, I had the pleasure of traveling and living overseas while still teaching math. In addition to teaching math here in Austin at Martin MS, Covington MS, and Akins HS, I also taught math in Escodido, CA., Fedricksburg, VA., Floresville, TX., and Okinawa, Japan. I obtained my Principal certification in 2019 from the University of Texas at San Antonio, and I was the assistant principal at Jordan ES from 2022-2023. Middle school feels like home to me since this is where it all started for me. I am married, and my husband and I have four children combined (all in their mid to late 20s). When I am not working, I enjoy running, reading mysteries, and relaxing at home. I am looking forward to being part of the Bedichek family and getting to know all students, parents/guardians, and community members.
